We receive no funding from either local or central government so the support we get from community fundraising on our behalf is critical to our efforts to care for the homeless community and families living in poverty. Whether you want to host a coffee morning with a few friends or get all your work colleagues to leap from a plane on our behalf, rest assured we’ll be very grateful.

Fundraising Ideas

We’re sure you’ll have lots of ideas for things you can do to raise money but here are a few that we think are popular.

  • Bake sale or coffee morning
  • Sponsored litter pick
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Jumble or car boot sale
  • Sponsored sports challenge
  • Car wash
  • Quiz night
  • Auction or raffle
  • Sponsored silence

Fundraising At Work

Why not become a workplace champion for Hope for Food? You could support our seasonal appeals at Christmas and Easter or be a year round food collection point. Then of course there are dress down (or dress up) days, bake-offs, fitness challenges, baby photo contests, company car washes, bucket collections or any number of ways you could raise funds while having some fun with your colleagues. We have downloadable posters you can use for your events and if you let us know in advance we may be able to supply collection tins or buckets and can share ‘details of your event’ on our social media platforms.

Corporate Sponsorship

If you are running a business and would like to support us then please get in touch at info@hopeforfood.org.uk to discuss further. Some ideas for consideration might be:

  • Charity partner for a year
  • Corporate charity
  • Sponsor a van
  • Cover our energy costs
  • Donate products
  • Staff Volunteers
