Karen Gould

Karen has been volunteering for Hope for Food since 2020 and works very closely with our homeless clients to ensure they have the basic clothing and personal essentials others take for granted. She also represents the charity at events that give us the opportunity to spread the word about what we do and generate more of the donations we are so reliant on.

Lesley Hargadon

Lesley moved from London 20 years ago to care for her mum. She took early retirement from Marks & Spencer in 2018 to concentrate on her home made preserves business, selling at craft fairs around Dorset and Hampshire. She recently closed the business and is now enjoying a more relaxed retirement when she’s not at Hope for Food. Lesley joined the charity in 2019 and swiftly found her niche as supermarket collections co-ordinator, also overseeing our family food pick-up area at the unit.

Deanna Laban
Family Support

Deanna emigrated to Australia in 1966, travelled the world and came home to England’s pleasant land 19 years later. She eventually retired as a Planning Enforcement Officer for a local council and wanted to give back to her home town. She joined Hope for Food in 2018, loved the work and the people and eventually became Team Leader of the household section, looking after families. She believes this is an amazing charity and very satisfying to be involved with.
